History

Sir Donald Bradman was born at 89 Adams Street, on 27 August 1908. The Bradman family moved to Bowral when Donald was 3 years old.

In the 1930s, Butler Airlines, based in Cootamundra, was the first airline to operate an Australia to England airmail service.
